David “Bunny” Garnett was a prominent member of the Bloomsbury Group. He received literary recognition with Lady into Fox and was awarded the 1922 James Tait Black Memorial Prize for fiction.
He ran a bookshop near the British Museum with Francis Birrell and, with Francis Meynell, founded Nonesuch Press. His other books include Dope Darling and Aspects of Love, the latter of which became a West End musical. He died in 1981.
