Anthony Irvine has been a performance artist since 1977. He is best known for his stage work as The Iceman (1983-present) but also for Stop It! (1979) and the award-winning Crane (1981). Since 2014 he has worked as a visual artist under the name ‘aim’.

Summer 2024 sees aim’s second exhibition at Guggleton Farm Arts. The 75 paintings in this collection are mainly based on the performance art of The Iceman. They were painted between August 2023 and March 2024.

Anthony Irvine has been a performance artist since 1977. He is best known for his stage work as The Iceman (1983-present) but also for Stop It! (1979) and the award-winning Crane (1981).

Since 2014 he has worked as a visual artist under the name ‘aim’.

He is also the subject of a 2023 book, Melt It! The Book of the Iceman and a forthcoming documentary picture, Melt It! The Film of the Iceman.

Summer 2024 sees aim’s second exhibition at Guggleton Farm Arts. The 75 paintings in this collection are mainly based on the performance art of The Iceman. They were painted between August 2023 and March 2024.

This volume serves as a catalogue for the Guggleton exhibition and as aim’s latest artist book.
